Happy 1st Birthday

It is now one year since the Saffron Walden Street Pastors started going out on the streets on Friday and have not missed a single Friday.  To celebrate this we had a bit of a party.  Here are some of the pictures.

On Thursday 22nd May we had our first AGM where we elected the management team, presented the treasurer’s report, gave a summary of the achievements of the past year then had a great time.

At this event we were presented with a cheque for £1000 from the Saffron Walden High School which was raised by the 6th formers, this will enable us to look at new ways in which we can benifit the town in line with the work we are doing.  We are most grateful to all who were involved in raising this money.

We continued to hear anecdotes of experiences from members of the SP team, an expose of the the changes in the town over the last 50 years or so from John Maddams and Clare Holland gave her view of the town from the perspective of a relative newcomer.

Happy New Year 2014 from the Saffron Walden Street Pastors.

Street Pastors in Saffron Walden are going to be out tomorrow night, Friday 3rd January for our first patrol of the new year. Come and say hello to us as we walk around the town.
